Simply inspired by the love of the sea, especially the wild and rugged coastline of the far west of Cornwall. From the beaches, coves and cliffs, I will make sketchbook studies, before returning to my studio, to develop and produce my final paintings, and drawings. Working mostly in water mixable oils, charcoal and graphite.
I exhibit regularly in the south-west and all works are available to purchase direct from me or Artizan Gallery - simply get in touch.
The great outdoors is my studio, I am one of those mad all year round plein air Watercolour Artists.
As for my work, I aim to capture the atmosphere, light and essence of what I see around me. The subjects I paint are vast, I cannot predict what I will see that inspires in any particular moment. It might be hazy light, a storm or a feeling of deja vu. I just know I love it!
Kamila was born in central Europe, in the country formerly known as Bohemia. She was interested in art since early childhood but her career lead her onto entirely different path - to medical profession. However, the inspiring backdrop of London, its fascinating charm, rich history and buzzing everyday life enchanted her and brought her back to the world of dreams and visual beauty.
She is inspired by people, their stories, personal struggles, passions, challenges of their lives. She is mainly focusing on the soul of a human, trying to unearth what is hiding behind the closed door of the protective, external facade. She adores pure beauty but is aware of the underlying conflicts and that's what she is trying to portray in her work.
