City Cows: Newcastle Town Moor

Painted on the spot on Newcastle Town Moor in 1997 whilst the cows sat in the midday sun sleeping or chewing the cud. I have always found these cows very relaxing to be around even when they come close to see what I’m doing. I just ignore them and they go away eventually. I love their sculptural forms.
