A Timeless Magic
A Timeless Magic is a semi-abstract South Downs inspired landscape painting with red poppies and pheasants. It is 36x36x1.5 inches. The painting pays tribute to my many walks up and down the hills of East Sussex which is always breath-taking. This spot is near Ditchling and was made mostly from my memory of a late summer afternoon walk. There is a timelessness to hills as they have not changed as much as the other landscapes of England have. Spotting pheasants among poppies was a beautiful thing to see and I am happy to have caught this moment in time. The various layers and paint glazes give the overall impression of this scene being realistic but also strange when you look closer. Painted on deep edge canvas, white edges, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity.
