The Hares Summer Song

The Hares Summer Song is a large vibrantly coloured semi-abstract landscape painting of a hare among red poppies with a pale summer moon above her. It is 36x36x1.5 inches. The painting was inspired by sightings of hares in the meadows near the South Downs one June. There is a magical aspect to hares and there is a lot of folklore surrounding them which is why when I spotted one, I felt like I was in a fairy story. Especially as she sat in a wildflower meadow with a pale moon above. I believe there is magic in nature and there is magic in the ancient landscapes of England which is something I try to capture when I paint based on a memory of somewhere. The style is semi-abstract art nouveau and was made by building glazes and texture which reflect different colours thought out the day. Painted on deep edge canvas, edges white, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XV_N6YmD43g
