Ashdown Forest Path

Ashdown Forest Path is an autumn path oil painting inspired by the Ashdown Forest of East Sussex. It is 30x30x1.5 inches. The painting was made after a walk in Ashdown Forest (Winnie the Pooh country) in October 2025. Beech trees had a green hue and were almost bare except for some dark orange leaves whilst the forest floor was golden and purple with fallen leaves. This particular path goes towards a clearing and stream in the distance where you can see the pale yellow light of a late autumn afternoon shining between the trees. I was trying to capture this moment in time along with the ethereal quality that is often present when you walk a forest path. Painted on deep edge canvas, pale yellow edges, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity. Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xEo0_GiQYMI
