This work combines mixed media and abstract painting to create a partially erased portrait of Grace Kelly. The bright red lips contrast sharply with the surrounding pastel tones and soft hues. The background, made up of pink and beige shades, creates an atmosphere that is both serene and enigmatic. The seemingly unfinished brushstrokes of paint in the background reinforce the idea of ​​memory or a hazy dream. With its delicate palette and enigmatic subject, this work questions perception and invisibility, while capturing a timeless elegance. The juxtaposition of elements creates a unique piece, where each visual detail contributes to the overall harmony with a sophisticated aesthetic.

Graceful was part of the ‘La Foret des Contes’ exhibition at the Forum Theatre in Fréjus, France in 2024.

Graceful is a mixed media composition on canvas.
Transfer, paper collage, pastels, acrylic and oil paint.
The transfer layers are semi transparent, and are enhanced by the paper flowers which highlight the composition.

The artwork is signed, varnished and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
Box framing is optional.
