Tropos 2
One of three paintings from the 2016 AWI Atlantic expedition of the RV Polarstern from Bremerhaven to Cape Town in collaboration with Leipzig University’s Tropos research project looking at Saharan dust and its climatic effects. This one is based on drawings made in the English Channel in November 2016 and is painted in acrylics on top of laser backscatter data of the atmosphere above the ship at this stage of the expedition. It would be great if the university or the Alfred Wegener Institute had this in their collection!
