Outdoor art class for kids from Easington Colliery Primary School

These children are all grown ups now and many will have children of their own this age. It was a great morning outdoors making collages from found natural materials and making sculptural installations inspired by Andy Goldsworthy’s art. We had a two minute silence to listen to the birds and briefly appreciate the woodland soundscape without the cacophony of a class of 30 very excited happy children. later we went back to school and made some paintings about the woodland. Ecological education through art. Powerful.
