Black Hill, winter sun, North Pennines
Mid winter, late afternoon on the Pennine watershed with the ground frozen solid and a thin sun just breaking through low cloud moving in from the Lake District to the west. This painting is based on drawings made at Black Fell above Hartside Pass in Cumbria and the memory of the day.
