‘Virgin’ is part of the series: ‘Nymph, Mistress, Mother, Virgin’, four works representing women. Each work is composed of 20 interchangeable tiles to showcase the complexity of the perfect contemporary woman. In this composition, two portraits of women blend to form the image of a veiled and seductive woman. The central figure, Cyd Charisse, a glamorous actress, evokes timeless elegance, while in the background, Raphael’s portrait of ‘La Donna Velata’ recalls a Madonna. This ensemble, a blend of mystery and sensuality, evokes both refinement and enigma.
