The Fake Independance Day

I painted this study for a larger painting (36"x36”) on 7.4.25. I hear everyone saying that they can’t celebrate Indepence Day, because it doesn’t feel like we have much independance. I vacillate between severe anxiety and engulfing anger. Painting is the only way I feel like I can get some of my feelings out and calm down.
