Vienna Gold is a transfer collage based on my collage composition ‘Vienna 2’. The transfer is finished with oil paint.

To a background of a classical landscape painting, a detail of Gustav Klimt’s ‘Water Serpents I’ is added. The composition is finished with two separate nudes; black and white illustrations from 1930’s French erotic magazines. The work is an ode to women and to Gustav Klimt, whose primary subject was the female body. His works are often marked by a frank eroticism.
