Culture Clash 1
June 2025
This work is a vibrant homage to pop art, artfully combining iconic elements. Andy Warhol’s portrait of Marilyn, combined with Roy Lichtenstein’s text, creates a cultural clash with the background; Emile Aubry’s voice of Pan. In the foreground, the speech bubble adds a narrative dimension, evoking an ironic commentary that reflects the work’s impact on the art scene. This juxtaposition of tradition and modernity symbolises the perpetual dialogue between past and present in art. The work exemplifies the bold creativity and provocative spirit of the pop art movement, captivating the viewer’s imagination with its depth and originality.
