From the ‘Et moi, et moi, et moi’ art exhibition where three female artists present their personal mythologies, trying to find the key to their true essence through their works.
My story is about my family and roots in Rotterdam.

‘Rotterdam et moi 2’ is a mixed media composition on canvas; transfer collage finished with paper collage, oil paint, pastels and felt tip pen.

The composition features two illustrations, the edges ragged.
The main image represents a dock in the harbour of Rotterdam.
The bottom half represents a girl firmly standing on the ground.

In this artwork, the raw industrial background merges with the delicate human presence, using oil, collage, and pastel to evoke a dreamlike surrealism.
The interplay between strength and vulnerability, ambition, and introspection is captured.
