“Lost Forest” is a transfer collage based on an earlier work titled ‘Heritage 2”.

The Heritage series is made up of paper collages that tell the story of children and the world they will inherit.
The background images come from ‘Reflets de France’, Edition Raymond Schall, Paris, 1950, and the portrait photo by Bishin Jumonji is from 1980’s Zoom magazine.

In this work, the dark forest envelops and hides the child who seems to be a part of his environment.
The forest in which the child is positioned, is both a source of danger and protection .
The story represent the survival of a child left with and in the wild.

Mixed media composition on 130 x 97 cm canvas.
Transfer, paper collage, pastels and oil paint.

“Lost Forest” est un collage de transfert basé sur une œuvre antérieure intitulée ‘Heritage 2’.

La série ‘Heritage’ est composée de collages de papier qui racontent l’histoire des enfants et du monde dont ils hériteront.
Les images de fond proviennent de « Reflets de France », édition Raymond Schall, Paris, 1950, et la photo du portrait par Bishin Jumonji vient du magazine Zoom des années 1980.

Dans cette œuvre, la forêt sombre enveloppe et cache l’enfant qui semble faire partie de son environnement.
La forêt dans laquelle est positionné l’enfant est à la fois source de danger et de protection.
L’histoire représente la survie d’un enfant laissé dans la nature.

Composition technique mixte sur toile 130 x 97 cm.
Transfert, collage de papier, pastels et peinture à l’huile.
