‘Vienna 2’ is a paper collage built up from 4 elements.
To a background of a classical landscape painting a detail of Gustav Klimt’s ‘Water Serpents I’ is added.
The composition is finished with two seperate black and white illustrations of a nude.
These illustrations are from 1930’s French erotic magazines.
The work is an ode to women and to Klimt, whose primary subject was the female body. His works are often marked by a frank eroticism.
Varnished paper collage on 20 x 20 cm canvas board.
Signed and varnished, delivered with certificate of authenticity.

About the artist
