From the “Dark Blue” series.
At the basis of this work is the paper collage ‘Splash 2’ in which the background image is an illustration of Ralph Weiss’ photo ‘Capsule de pomme épineuse’, 1968.
The bottom image is the lower half of George Silk’s photography ‘Jeune Plongeuse”, 1962.
This collage composition is superimposed to an image of a destroyed church wall in Bihac, Bosnia.
Both images are transferred on canvas and finished with oil paint.
Added to the composition is a vintage paper illustration; the upper part of the face of a young bride.
Mixed media composition on 80 x 60 x 4 cm canvas.
The artwork is signed, varnished and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

About the artist

Her analog compositions combine acrylic paint and oil paint, original illustrations dating from 1900 till today and three dimensional recycled components. The works, influenced by pop art, dadaism and surrealism, show originality and freshness.
