We enter the sunny seas of the South Atlantic.
Every day a bucket is skilfully chucked in to the sea and the plankton collected in it viewed under a microscope and photographed by Ricky our resident and very enthusiastic world expert on plankton. Here we have 2 dinoflagelates and a copepod which are near the base of the ocean food chain that sea bird depends on.

I am a painter of northern landscapes and of the sea. I'm an established artist in the north of England but I'm also known more widely with for example my TV participation in the SKY Portrait Artist of the Year competition.
