Tidmarsh coat of arms

Exact copy of vandalised 200year old original.
Fortunately the broken remnants of the original piece were available for me to copy. It was extraordinary to more or less bond with the unknown stonemason who had produced the original. And sad to see how his or her efforts had been so maliciously destroyed.
Quite a lot of research into the heraldic design of this work was needed in order to faithfully reproduce the original.
Reinstalled upon the grade 2 listed former school building in Tidmarsh, Berkshire.
New stone used ; but fascinating to note that the quality of the stone now being quarried is by far inferior to the remaining pieces of the original coat of arms.
