The Bride

“The Bride”
2013

‘The Bride’ is a ghostly composition built up from images from authentic vintage magazines.
This surreal collage juxtaposes everyday elements with unexpected objects. At the center, an antique four-poster bed stands framed by elegant white curtains. A couture mannequin, dressed in a sumptuous gown, appears to dance around the scene, accentuating the eeriness of the setting. Window frames float in the background, defying the laws of gravity, while a bare tree wraps itself around the furniture, adding a natural and whimsical touch. The vibrant turquoise background highlights the strange and harmonious assemblage of objects. This painting invites deep contemplation, exploring the boundaries between dream and reality with artistic audacity. Each element seems to speak a dreamlike language, transforming an ordinary bedroom into a magical and intriguing world.
