Lions of Bath project
Sponsored by Mogers firm of lawyers , Queen Square, Bath UK. One of one hundred resin cast lions originally sculpted by Alan Dun. Each lion and artist sponsored by local businesses. On display in and around Bath May - October 2010 when they will be auctioned off for charity.
I built up mane and forehead to incorporate glass mosaic and eyes, with the front of the mane styled on a barrister’s wig. The deep set cabs for the eyes have glass on glass mosaic irises and pupil on rear. The body is layered up in fibre glass and acrylics to bronze and verdigris effect.
Mogers created the title; Advokat is African for judge.
