Hebridean Sunset

A winter sunset in the Hebrides. The sky is an explosion of colour and the deep reds are reflected in the sea and on the gable of the little stone house. The thatched roof has gone a deeper shade of brown under the setting sun. The canvas has a slim edge which is good for framing but the composition has been continued on to the edges and a cord added to the back making it suitable for hanging straight away.
