Memories of Lanzarote, Punta Mujeres
Most of my seascapes are insoired by Scotland’s beautiful coastline but this little painting is one of a small series of Lanzarote paintings. I have spent many holidays in Lanzarote and recently having watched the surf crashing on the rocks at Punta Mujeres every day for a couple of weeks I felt compelled to paint the various beaches around the island. This little gem is inspired by the North Eastern coast at Punta Mujeres, painted mainly in greens and blues. There is a lot of volcanic rock around this part of the coast causing high white topped waves. The painting is sold unframed but the secondary image shows how it can look when framed.
