The parachutist

“The parachutist”

…It was those little plastic soldiers with a plastic parachute. Usually a cheap gift won at the fair though they did give some hours of fun. There was always the challenge to see how high you could throw them and more often than not they would end up wrapped around a telegraph pole or a lamppost just out of reach. They would hang there for months slowly the parachute would wear away. It would only be after a windy night that the soldier would be gone the next day. They could never be found. There must be a place somewhere where they all meet up?….
