Girl On The Piccadilly Line

I painted this eight years ago, but the original sketch is from 1999/2000. I was on the Piccadilly line, feeling knackered, everyone else was looking grey and worn out. Then suddenly this young woman got on in a strange late 70s/early 80s style jumpsuit, with big framed retro sunglasses and her strawberry blonde hair piled up. She sat impassively staring straight ahead and I did a quick sketch on my newspaper, pretending to be doing the crossword.
