the binmen

…For a while my dad was a bin man.
Sometimes he would bring some toys home he had found and were in quite good condition. He was amazed at some of the things that people would throw out. It was hard work. The bins were very heavy and everything and anything went into them. He had to raise the bin onto his back by crouching down and tilting the bin onto his back. If it were too heavy he would spin it down to the wagon and a fellow worker would grab a handle and help him lift it onto the wagon. Hard work.
