…I had a pet dog when I was young. She was called Lady. We rescued her from the police kennels and she would have been put down if we had not taken her. At first my dad did not want the dog. And it took a lot of pleading and begging until he finally agreed. Dad took to her straight away. Lady was about two years old when we got her and she had distemper so we took her to the vets. We had Lady for a further seventeen years. She died in March 1988…
