Abstract in Jet Emerald

Abstract piece of artwork,which was painted by squeezing the acrylic paint straight from the tube onto the canvas. I then made the abstract pattern with a plastic palette knife, mixing the two colours as I painted. The emerald green golour can be seen coming through from underneath the jet black. I created textured lines in this piece with the edge of the palette knife and added drips of acrylic inks in emerald green and jet black once the painting had dried. The paint has been applied around the edges of the canvas, minimising the need for extra framing.
