I work from my home studio in Biggar, Scotland, (SW of Edinburgh) surrounded by beautiful countryside.
I work in acrylics, oil pastel and mixed media. I use memories from my childhood as well as inspiration from my local architecture, streetscapes - especially the hidden beauty in forgotten corners.
Artists who inspire me are - Joan Eardley, Duncan Shanks, John Brown, Robin Phillipson and Leonora Carrington.
Recently I have been intrigued by surrealism and it is beginning to enter my work.
