Detailed photo realistic artwork of insects, animals and found objects, rendered in graphite pencil, and sometimes a hint of coloured pencil.
My inspiration comes from old natural history science collections and collectors. Many layers of graphite pencil (upto 5 layers) are used to achieve a photographic result. Starting with an 8b pencil and then adding a layer of 6b, 4b, 2b and final layer of Hb pencil on super smooth paper/board.
