Accelerated Transformation

The dreamt starting point of the collection, this piece felt like an awakening of higher emotions. I painted the lynx sleeping within an eye as a symbol of comfort and watchful peace. Below, butterflies hatch upwards - in reverse to nature’s process, as a representation of a rapid accelerated transformation. The piece was inspired by a
magical, unexplainable encounter and later, unknowingly, scripted the next year of my life - an intense cycle of awakening, upheaval, and rapid transformation.
I chose “cold” shades of blue and black to reveal how they can also be comforting and serene.
