Bronze Spring Flower Teardrop Earrings

Pretty bronze spring flowers teardrop earrings with sterling silver ear wires that are made from recycled silver. I made two moulds of some pink spring flower blossoms that were just opening out and then took an impression with some bronze metal clay to make these pretty bronze teardrop earrings, with silver prices going through the roof I am using more of this lovely mellow gold bronze that is hypoallergenic, I like the contrast with the sterling silver ear wires! Bronze is the gift for both the 8th and 19th wedding anniversaries!
The earrings are 3.2cm long (approximately 1 1/4 inches) from the top of the hook, the drop length is 2cm (just under an inch) and the width is 1.3cm wide (1/2 inch).
If you haven’t come across metal clay before it is very fine metal particles mixed into a binder and it can be patterned and sculpted etc., it comes in all sorts of metals, sterling silver, fine silver, bronze, copper and even gold (if you can afford it!). Once it is dried it is fired in a kiln and the binders burns away leaving a metal piece.
