“Screw the dishes” addresses the need for all of us to take a break from the drudgery of everyday life and celebrate just being alive, which is no small feat. The woman we see is intent on living the moment to the full with a glass of champagne and a yummy donut. She imagines herself to be wearing an incredible ‘haute couture’ dress and designer’s sunglasses. The owl on her head signifies the wisdom of rebelling against imposed societal norms.
