All my bugs have been inspired by visits to our lovely local natural history museum, The Booth here in Brighton. I’ve whiled away many an hour in the collections sketching everything from skeletons and skulls to bird skins and locusts. Some of the cases are old and the specimens beginning to crumble; and I’ve found that watercolour best captures their fragility, their wonderful colour, and their transparency
