Seashore, Gigha

A very tranquil scene on a beach on The Isle of Gigha, which lies off the Mull of Kintyre.
It’s a summer day and the sky and sea appear to be pale turquoise against the pale sand. There is a couple of little white cottages overlooking the sea and an old rowing boat wedged at the side of the rocks on the shore. The composition has been continued on the edges to allow hanging without the need for a frame if so required.
