The last Lampuki

Lampuki are a migratory fish much loved by the southern medittereaneans.  Over fishing has reduced Lampuki numbers but they are still caught by individual fishermen using traditional methods of palm fronts floating behind the Luzzus.

Elizabeth Munson

I grew up in England in the deep countryside of Somerset and the wild coastline of Dorset. After attending Bournemouth College of Art & Design (now Arts University Bournemouth), I travelled throughout Europe and North Africa. I went on to a career in graphic, interior and ceramic design. Now living in the southern Mediterranean, I paint and sculpt being constantly inspired by my environment. Please click on a work to see it fully. Enjoy.
