Black-necked Grebe

One of the rarest breeding birds in Britain (and also known as the Eared Grebe in North America), the Black-necked Grebe is a splendid sight in its summer plumage, with a metallic golden fan of plumes against a black head and neck, all set off with a blood red eye.

A hand-pulled original two block linocut print, printed with Caligo inks on Strathmore 400 Series (280gsm) Printmaking paper and hand-coloured with Winsor & Newton acrylics. Limited edition of 25. Presented in a laser-cut white 6x6” (15 x 15cm) mount ready to be placed in a standard size frame of your choice; the actual image size is 3x3” (7.6 x 7.6cm).
