Neck Torc - Copper and Labradorite, Dragonfly Celtic Torq Or Torque

The dragonfly, as a creature of the wind, symbolises change, transformation, adaptability, and self-realization.

An asymmetrical neck torc which has a beautiful large drop shaped piece of Labradorite as the focal point, which I have encased in delicately knitted copper wire to create a handmade bezel which captures the stone. The Dragonfly itself is made using thick copper wires, that have been hand shaped and hammered to form the frames and then delicate woven and knitted think copper wires have been used to embellish the design and add detail. The dragonfly is 3” tall and 2” wide

The neck torc is made with very thick copper wire, which I have hand forged, to form the supporting frame for the whole piece. hammering it all the way round, to strengthen it.

The Torc has an inner circumference of 16”, it can be opened, to make it larger.

I have lightly oxidised this piece to highlight the detail.
