Arbre au Parc de la Tête d'Or

This work is based on a tree on the bank of the lake at the Parc de la Tête d’Or , in Lyon. I especially liked the way that the shape seemed like a hand reminding me of sitting in the tree tops when I was a child in Texas. The cut paper image is mounted in a shadow box frame and behind museum quality non reflective glass. As the viewer walks past the image and as the light in the room changes the shadows of the tree branches move creating the sensation of being in the woodland.
