She Is Over The Water

This was one of a pair I did while in Doolin last August. I felt in a heightened state of awareness for most of the time we were there. In this painting I’m trying to open out the abstractness of the west of Ireland landscape while highlighting the fragmented nature of modern lifestyles and using up loads of green paint. The majority of this was painted with my fingers, except for the jagged interpretation of dry stone walls.
