pitch 75

Jaime Castro Santoro, Chilean painter, studied in The Arts School of the University of Chile between 1970 and 1973.
He had made many solo shows and participated in a lot of group shows in Chile, his country.
A brief and fruitful period in San Francisco, California in 1997, help him to consolidate his style and allow him to show his paintings and be represented by Yountchie Reiger, Fine Arts Gallery, San Francisco for three years.
In parallel with a work for years in urban landscapes very realistics, had work in an intime thematic, images product of his own mind, full of poetry and dreamer themes (motiffs).
In both thematics, Castro Santoro uses the minor resources for doing somethings simple and pure, being close to the graphic in his watercolours and his drawings in sanguina.
These are recent paintings only in Prussian blue, born at the warm impression received by a newcomer in London. The size is 57 x 38 cms, painting in acrylic watercolours on non acid paper.
