Living in the Wild, at home.

A blending of feral life experience into stone sculpture.

Following the successful Hood in the Wood stage performance at Reading International Festival 2023, more performances are planned for the south of England in the summer of 2024 (see below).
The sculptor, McAlistair Hood examines the human dependence upon the natural world, and compares the scientific world’s discoveries in this field, with his own experiences, as a man who, because of circumstances and inclination, must wander through and sleep in the wild places of England, every night ; seeking shelter, refuge, and sustenance.
Human and environmental degradation as a result of their unhealthy relationship with each other, are also subject to the stone sculptor’s scrutiny.
The performance is an unique take on life and how it can be lived.
Also upcoming are presentations, such as Hardwick Estate Spring Talks 30 May 2024
