Helen likes to find out about things by painting or making, exploring ideas and meanings through engagement with material and process. She is challenged by the idiosyncrasies of media from watercolour to concrete and is happiest in the process of creating. Finding her inspiration in the allotment or garden, “up the city”, or in tropes and norms, the use of colour and bright humour reflect Helen’s positive view on life.
