Blue Sugar II is based on the idea of a message in a bottle.
Here the message is the Blue Tit and its song. (Online the Blue Tit’s song can be heard via this link: https://www.rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wildlife/bird-and-wildlife-guides/bird-a-z/b/bluetit/) The high pitch trilling, which sounds like “tsee-tsee-tsee-chu-chu-chu” is heard all year round, but is more clear in the spring and summer.
The message is not a letter or scroll, but a song announcing the beauty of nature and wildlife.
The bottle is an antique sugar jar, I used this jar as the colours coming through the cut glass are beautiful and the lid is intricate.
When open a sweet, delicate sound emanates from within the Saccharin jar. From the sugar vessel comes the silver-toned trill of an acrobatic and cheeky Blue Tit.
