Poplar Road, Assembly Rooms, public house.

View of the Public Hall or the old Council House is now the Assembly Rooms has become a family public house serves food unfortunately no garden to sit out.

The Public Hall was once surrounded by a boundary wall with a garden. Public Hall was once the meeting place for the Methodist living in Solihull, in the late eighth century.
Wesleyan Methodist Society, which grew to a membership of 12, met in the village in the 1840s, but it was 1883 before Methodism was truly founded in Solihull, they’re would hire the Court Room in the Public Hall, they would hire for 6 shillings a week to hold two services every Sunday.

I wonder if the red lady is off to meet up with her sweet heart for a bit to eat, or may be meet her sweet heart.

Hope you like my interpretation of my home town
