Coldlands Woods on a bright sunny day. Solihull.
This is of my local woodland, hidden away that only the locals in the neighbourhood know about. It’s was considered a safe place during my childhood to escape and freely wonder around and it provides a great source of inspiration to young & those of advancing in years alike.
As a child growing up ,all of us kids came down here on our bikes, making dens, football’s and generally having fun all day long, far away from mothers eye!.
Then comes Spring the sea of blue, as a kid I would come home with a bunch of bluebells for mum. Now I just enjoy the beauty at each turn of your eye a sea of overwhelming of blue.
This year better now than last.
Then during the cricket season the dads, sons would come and play on the enjoining field. The sound of bat on ball. That’s sound of summer to me.
Sadly today majority of vistors are now are dogs walkers, gone are the kids running around shouting with fun.
