Warrior child

By Loli

Warrior child

This is the early sketch of my “Valkyrie” artwork.  Here I tried to think more of a warrior child, instead of a warrior woman. At the time, I thought a lot about the fact that our children are vulnerable, even more so now it feels with internet and phones. I feel like we may not be giving our children the right tools to survive and fight back. Hence the Valkyrie idea. I chose to do a girl rather than a boy, because it feels like boys are still expected to fight back rather than “sit there looking pretty”, what some people expect from girls.
