The Chicken Hut

Last September I took part in ‘A Brush with the Broads’ Plein Air Festival.  Having returned at the end of the day for a glass of something at the onsite bar, I got side tracked by the chicken hut!  The whole scene was a delicious mysterious mix of darks into light. The only real shapes I could see were the chickens, there little bodies bobbing up and down as they went about their routines. This one was a race against the light!

About the artist

Claudia Araceli

The great outdoors is my studio, I am one of those mad all year round plein air Watercolour Artists. As for my work, I aim to capture the atmosphere, light and essence of what I see around me. The subjects I paint are vast, I cannot predict what I will see that inspires in any particular moment. It might be hazy light, a storm or a feeling of deja vu. I just know I love it!
