Taken at the bridge where Station Road (here actually an unmade track) crosses the Brighton Line near Preston Park. Old Man’s Beard is our native Clematis, growing rampantly in hedgerows, and here colonising the anti-climb fencing. It’s best in winter when the fluffy seed heads show starkly.
