An early-morning shot taken with my first DSLR camera: a Canon 500D. The shot was taken from the Langmoor Gardens in Lyme Regis, Dorset, UK, looking east over Lyme Bay towards the prominentries Black Venn and Golden Cap on the famous World Heritage Site, the Jurassic Coast. Because of the difficult lighting conditions, I took three exposure-bracketed images; this image was the lowest exposure value (-2EV) which I considered to be the most effective image — in particular, it was the image that best captured the atmosphere of the moment when the sun broke free of a girdle of clouds surrounding the bay.
